Charity, were this day gratefully receiv d by thy R.T.
I was glad to hear you reached home without ac=
cident, or actual starveation- we are grieved that
we should be the cause of anxiety to the tender feel=
=ing minds of our beloved friends, then, there is no
real cause, for apprehension- thou wilt see my
dear Charity, that thy visionary thoughts were
wholly without foundation, & should any more of the
kind, intrude upon thy peace, I hope thou wilt
give them to the winds, & think no more of them-
be assured, thy friend Eli did not come home sick, but
quite the reverse from that, his appetite is good, &
