Whereas Maria Imlay wife of Richard Imlay on
or about the seventeenth day of the tenth month called Oc
tober in the year of our lord one Thousand Eight Hundred
and eleven previous to her intermarriage while a feme
sole by her name which was then Maria Milnor and
by her certain deed pool duly signed, dated, delivered ac
knowledged and recorded in the clerks offices of the County
of Hunterson convey to Thomas Roch Esq late of Connec
ticut all her estates real and personal in trust for
certain purposes and uses in Said Deed particularly so
pressed, and hereas from the great distance at which
the said Thomas Roch resides from the sd parties and the said
seal and personal estate it is not longer convenient or ex
pedient that I should [illegible]said trust which can be done
with more propriety by some person residing near the sd parties
& property in the State of New Jersey Now this instrument
of writing witnesseth that I the said Thomas Roch at the
request of the said Maria Imlay, for divers good causes and consider
ations me thereto moving and also in consideration of this sum
of fifty cents to me in hand paid the receipt where of hereby
acknowledged Do [illegible] convey and conform
unto Joseph M Lawrie of the County of Burlington in the State of New
Jersey all the lands, tenements her [illegible] real and personal
estate whatsoever of the said Maria Imlay late Maria Mil
nor situate in the State of New Jersey in as full and ample
a manner as the same was vested in me by the above
mentioned deed of conveyance to me executed as foresaid,
to have and to hold the said lands tenements,
