Respected Friend
Thomas Rotch
This morning i received thy letter, informing
that thee wishes the coarse Cloths to be sent on to Canton
as soon as oppertunity permits, thare seems to be a dificulty
in getting a waggon at this time to haul to Canton, as
thay are scarse and verry buisily employd in
halling Coal & wood at this time, I shall however omit
no oppertunity that may offer but comply with thy
advise as soon as possible; I have sold but too pers
of the coarse Cloths since the went away
and one peace that Ervine got last week: I think thare
will not be anough of the coarse Cloths and nails to make
a load and as no chance may offer till advice may
be had from thee please to inform if thare is any
box of Cloths that is not opend that may be sent or
any thing else which the has not mentiond in thy
letter; any Commands thee may have shall be attended
to with plesure. I have not yet went to wheeling
and the other places we were talking of on account
of seeing a number of Merchants from various places
