  Respected Friend           Leicester 10th Mo 25th 1809
  We now forward to thy care 8 Boxes Card which 
  please to have Shipped by first good Vessell for New 
  York to Richard R Lawrence and Should be a 
  considerable time before a Vessell Sails for that
  place perhaps it may be best to send them to New   
  Haven and so go on by the Packett. we wish them to 
  go by a [illegible]Man- If it is convenient we shall be 
  glad to have thee send us Fifty Dollars by the Bearer 
  Harry Ward and if the Money is paid for the Small lotts 
  of Card send that likewise~
  We have not time now to forward a Bill, but will 
  endeavor to attend to it ~ We are thy Friend

  We wish to know how the Machine opperates now, and 
  whether it makes the Roots Sufficiently large or 
  whether it will be necessary to make new Card for the 
  Dorfers
