Steubenville May 1st 1813
my dear friend
I have just time to say that
on teh 17th day of April, I wrote to you en-
-closing you a test of 30 scholars which
I had procured for Sarah- the Parents of whom
I do verily believe, will be punctual in paying
her at 2 2/1 colls pr quarter. Since there I have
2 more scholars - I procured a good room
sufficiently large(tho' an upstairs room) and airy, at
2 dolls pr month, and boarding at W. Jenkinson
at 1 dollar pr week. I begged Sarah to
let me know immediately her determination,
and by all means, if possible, to open the school
by this day, as the parents were(and continue to be)
exceedly solicitous.
The Room mentioned is opposite
John Englands store, but I am offered one a
few doors above Jenkinsons at 4 dolls pr month
much more commodious.
