Description	In this letter, Timothy Kirk informs Charity Rotch that he makes goods to order and here he provides his prices for men's and women's stockings,large, medium and small sizes. He was probably a member of the Society of Friends, and it is interesting to note that on the reverse of this letter, Charity wrote that he would take trade for stockings, perhaps Rotch wool since money and currency were in short supply in the early nineteenth-century. 6.2" x 7.75" (15.5 by 19.7 cm)

Full Text	B-228-1 Near York Ohio 6th mo 20th 1822 Friend C Rotch may be infor- med the work given in charge to our mutual friend A.T. will be wove in the corse of two ro three weeks, and for all the yarn thou mayst please to forward in fu- ture trade will be taken at a fare price. Within the last five years I have redu- ced my charge near one third, which now stands thus; Mens stockings 66,Womens fits 62 1/2 cents pr pair; and for a coarser kind, Mens 56, Womens fit 50cts pr pair--It is not necessary to send a patern with the several sises ,only say so many pairs either large Mens middle-sised, Mens, or small Mens, and so likewise in directions for Womens stockins
