Dear Thomas Moses Brownes 10 mo: 8th 1793
I do not remember whether I have
answered the receipt of those Affectionate Lines, thou
sent me or not not such hath been the anxious sol-
licitude of my Mind on divers Accounts, but may assure
thee it was truly Cordial to me to be remembered by
my very dear Friends, I wrote I believe on 5th & 6th day
last to thy dear Mother & Brother William in which
Letters my tender Concern for the whole Family was expressed
but the post not arriving at Newport I suppose they were
detained in the office. my affectionate regard is to you &
indeed my Mind hath been almost continually at Bedford
of late being little sensible of your Afflicted state, yet have
been relieved, from an ample Persuasion, that the Lord hath
been with you by his own blessed Presence & I was comforted in
hearing that some of his Servants were with you also, oh dear
Thomas this precious Union & Sympathy which we mutually
feel one with another at Seasons, when the holy Oil is poured
as upon the Head & descends to the lowest skirts of the Garment
may the Lord grant an Increase of it to the Revival & Comfort
of your Spirits at this Season of your proving, and by the glorious
Interposition of his own Arm make Way for you, tho there
may have appeared no Way.
I am with near Affection to all in which
my Companion joins your Loving & Sympathizing Friend
Peter Yarnall
