Esteemed Friend
I received thine of the 12 Int which gave
the agreeable information, of the donation from John Todhunter
is aid to our funds on Indian concerns, and have consulted
several friends on the occasion, who think that it would be a
proper mode to call a meeting of the Committee and au-
thoize one of our number in an official way to draw for the
amount, and as it is no suffering case we think it not necessary
to call the committee together until the time of our Quar-
terly meeting, at which time it can easily be done. We ex-
pect the draft can readily be exchanged for cash with some
of our Merchants. In the mean time please, drop me a line
informing whether the made proposed is agreeable to thy
prospect, and whether thou wouldst have a choice to draw thyself
please forward the address of Warder & Brothers
and any other information on the subject thou may think ne-
cessary. I reached home in tow days from Zanesville since
which have had my health, except within these two or three
days have suffered some inconvenience from a rheumatic
affection, with love to thyself & C(in which I expect my
A would join, were the present) I am thy affectionate
friend. Jonathan Taylor
