  Dear Son Thos
            When thou reaches Ninepartners School
                of S. Downing
  please to enquire^ if he has recd $40 - fm John Murray for Robt=
  Mores Schooling 6 months - wch money I sent John the 16th of last mo.
  I have wore Silas twice on the subject.
           inform him
  please also^I shall forward through John Murrays hands $35
  immediate, on acct of Jos Austin, for the remainder of
  Hannah Whartons Schooling one year; $40 he pd Mark Coffin
  on same acct.
  I leave thee to negotiate the matter respecting the young man
  (a German) which Christian wrote about, I understand he liv'd
  with John Cox 5 years but was free & gone from Johns - if he is an
  industrious orderly man I would go as high as 12 dos prmo. if not to be
  got below that sum.  if he (Christian) has any acct from
  the German family at Baltimore, should be glad to know the
  prospect - my Tenants time will expire on the 25th of 3d mo
  next.
