  my dear Son Thomas
                  I yesterday recd a letter from
                (29 ult)
  I Anthony & Sons, saying as follows viz
  "Since writing you this morning we have had a conformation
  "with Lench Cox, & have brought the matter thus far
  "to a point, that he will take of us four or five
  "thousand Galls of the winter pressed Oil at 6/3
  "2500 Gall. to be deld at New Bedford, & the like
  "gal sent on here; (this is all we can do, and beg
  "this may be attended to as conclusive; the
  "body oil you mention pressed in the month of 
  "November last he says wont suit. he has
  "got part of his supply from Genl Lincoln
  "Collect'd of Boston but of what quality we cant
  "say."   now as Saml is gone & I 
  know nothing of the business must desire thou
