Esteemed Friend Phila the 5th Month 15th 1770
As thou was so kind as to Inclose your last Yearly Meeting Epistle
to me I now take the Liberty to send ours to thy Care requesting thee to Deliver it
in the Proper time, I was Concern'd to hear of our Friend Amey Thurstons Indis=
=position, but hope before this she may have recovered a better state of Health-
being sensible the removal of such must be a real loss to the Society as well
as to those to whom they are more particularly Connected, Poor Billeys Decease
I Doubt not must have greatly affected the Family, more Especially his Aged
Mother, with whom though I am not Personally Acquainted I felt near Simpathy,
having passed through some such trying Dispensations, and experienced the Divine
Supporting arm of Mercy therein, I can but Desire the same gracious Providence
may attend my Friends in all their deep Probations; Please to remember my kind Love
to them.
Doubtless thou hast Heard of the safe Arival of our Dear Friend
A Wilson after a Passage of five Weeks to her own House, there are Letters Just
come from her, signifieing that she found her Family well, herself also well
and well satisfied with having Perform'd the weighty service in which she was
engaged, and Indeed I think I may add through which she was wonderfully favoured
I sincerely wish that the unweried Labours of this eminently Qualified servant
of the Lord, with that of many others who are real ornaments of society, and
Blessings to the Church, might be received as distinguished marks of the divine

Favour, and Produce such Effects of gratitude as may^acceptance with him
in the Day of Account.
Having not more to add but the salutation of Love to thy self and
Frds as thou art free in a particular manner to my good Friend and acquaintance
