Dear Thomas Nantucket 6 mo 26 1794
I have once more the satisfaction of
giving thee a date from home, which I reached the day before
yesterday after a pleasant passage of 52 hours, having left
NyC, last 5th day about 3 O clock pm, - I find myself
perhaps in as good health as usual for me to have experi
enced before I had the Small Pox & the joy consequent to getting
home to a beloved wife & family after a season in which
I at times doubted of its ever being lot is inexpressible ~
I am informed since I came home, that almost
all the families at Bedford of our connexions had gone to the
Yeaerly Meeting, where they probably heard of my being
on my way by James Bringhurst & wife, who sailed in
a packet for Newport about the time I left NYC, and
with whom & other passengers, I conversed within the
sound as the packet passed the Sloop I came in -
I have not yet lookd much toward business, Uncle
Brown may inform me of some, but I wish to be informed
of the Situation of the Maria, & whether Hillman is engaged
or expects to go again in her, also whether thou expects to
retain the Oil kept back of the Diannas & Marias Cargoes
on thy Acct - that I may either place it to thy Acct. or
