Dear Thomas Nantucket 3 mo 18 1794
I propose Sailing for New York with Abell
Swift day after tot morrow to attend the [illegible] Should
the Ann arrive in my absence, & the Master [illegible] are
willing to proceed to Phila it will be advisable to send her
there for the Sale of her Cargo, unless thou shouldst get some
advice that the interruption of trade has risen to such a
height there, that the probability of saving sale is rendered
like many of our once pleasing prospects, abortive - I shall
give thee a line from New York if I arrive there in safety
& if the market for the Kind of wine She may bring should do as
well there as in Phile Should prefer her going to New York
but if any delay or obstruction attends sending the Ship from
Bedford, I should prefer, keeping it onboard, by the usual
reports to the custom house to its being landed, as we shall
not deem it safe to ship it from Bedford to the WI on our
own Acct. & its not likely we can ever dispose of it there to
save the drawback. I have put onbd the packet
a bl of oysters - And Wm having sent for the Wine we
had in company, that also, out of which I have drawn
34 gallons which leaves in the Cask 63 Galls. 48 1/2 of which
Williams. I shall charge 14 1/2 Gallons the rem. to thee at the cost
It is barely possible the Slope may arrive. if she should or
