Respect'd Friend,
I have had a Treatise in
hand several Years entitled,
"Means of preserving Health &
preventing Diseases: founded prin-
cipally on attention to the Nonna-
turals in Medicine, viz: Air,
Drink, Diet, Sleep, Clothing, Exercise,
Passions of the Mind, and [illegible]
of Excretions." To which are added some
Observations on "Cold bathing, Clean-
liness, Ventilation, Medical Electricity,
and on the abuse of Medicines."
Which I have at length completed,
or gotten through; that is, the out-
lines or a rough Draught; and in-
tend, as Business & Leisure permit,
to revise & prepare it for the Press, if
