                              Hartford 9th 9th 1810
  Dear Nephew
                     I yesterday sold my excellent
  Marino Ram for something less than a Thousand
  Dollars.  I now have it in contemplation to
  send off to New York to be sold at auction about
  40 or 50 Rams 1/2 5/8 & one 7/8. they are all Marked
 and numbered the Certificates will be compleated  
 tomorrow or next day with a sample attatched to each
  Certificate agreeable to the number upon both
  the Lambs & Certificate as it will take some days
  to get them there I mean the sheep I think it
  will be best to send on the Certificates by Post.. have
  them advertised immediately and the sale to take 
  place the 21st (the day of the sales of those full 
  bloods at Newport  I have also a considerable number 
  of 1/2 & 3/4 Ewes lambs  here at home that are also 
  Marked & Numbered. Certificates of which I can send 
  with samples- that it may be best to add in the 
  advertisement a number of Ewe Lambs
  of half & Three quarters - the sheep to be delivered 
  on the 1st day
