Dear friends
I think you will consider us very
neglectfull in not writing before in answer to our
friend Rotches first letter daited 4 Mo 25 which was
indeed very acceptable as we had long felt a
great anxiaty to hear from Kendal on our Dear
friend C Rotch account and it was a great satisfac
tion to hear of her returning health. I received
the first letter when D Richmond was gone from
home the contents of which was very agreeable
to us to hear of the pleasing state of things as
respects your little town as I had heard so many
things that was not very a greeable that I found
it heard to make up my mind to go but I feel
willing to try to see Kendal now we are pretty much
in readiness to leave this place we have found it
difficult to collect all our little debts and sell all
the articles that we wished too which has proved
sum detention to us we intend leaving this place the 12th of
this mo. - if nothing prevents we have a good waggon and
horses and if DR think it will be best to liten the load
