Dear Friend
I avail myself of the intended visit of my Friend
Benjamin Arnold to write thee, and desire exceedingly to know
that thy self and Friend Charity Roach are well; The last
I heard of you ye were both indisposed. I also desire
to know catagorically of thee if I may expect ye both
to pay us visit of at least two days at the season
of Quarterly meeting in the Eleventh month? For I have
many enquiries to make of thee on the subject that are
our mutual hobbies, that would not be expected to be
below in a letter-
In the mean time I wish thee to give me thy
opinion of the sheep that have been lately imported
they
in such vast numbers. are ^ good and what relation
do they bear to Humphry's, In what do they differ
from thine, which Jacob Barker has put into thy
hands?
I am also desirous to know what is he price of the best
fine carding machine that is made at Hartford also
of the best broad & narrow looms, the best billy & ginny. These
are matter which do in no otherwise interest me then
every subject does which relates to domestic manu-
