Esteemed friend Joseph Steen has
gone to reside with his children on
their farm a few miles out of Town
leaving his dwelling in Mt Pleasant un-
occupied. Some of us who had comfor-
table homes there last yearly mg have
been devising ways and means to open
the house the present season. And it is
pretty nearly concluded that a few of
us will bear the expense & tha Robert
& Sarah Richie shall be our Superinten-
dents. There remains in the house about
5 beds some tables chairs etc which toge-
ther with the house Joseph offers us
the use of.
I am authorized by those
concerned to offer thee & Charity so
much of the accommodation as you
may be inclined to accept of which
if thy time will admit we shd like
to ve informed by the return of our
frd G Bates & J. Harrison. I wrote thee
to this effect a few days ago by mail but
presume this will reach thee first.
