My Dear Friend New York 24th 12 mo 1800
So good an opertunity offering by our esteemed
friend Isaac Hutchinson from Jersey, now on a religious visit
to the East. Seemed as tho I could not well any longer forbare
exposing my simple schrat. Indeed gratitude often urged
the acknowledgment of thy kindness, to me a poor unworthy
Creature. Well I am here in the Land of the living. It will
be 4 weeks Day after tomorrow since I arived found my Dr.
S.J. & Children in health. I quit the field of labour at East
=ton, & made the best of my way home as fast as I well could,
I thought ag odd deal of a dissarter & expected to have felt
more like one on geting here, than I have, I through myself
into the Arms of Everlasting Marcy. And it is well for us
at least for me that we have a gracious benifactor to deal with.

thou will be pleased to hear at Hampton we had the
company of that Precious old friend C.C. who
came to Joseph P seventh Day after Noon to be with us,
& so went to Meeting with us first day & tho the Meeting
held 3 hours, he Dr Woman sat out & we had a precious
parting opertunity at J.B. What a brace thing to be lively &
green in old age, What an honour to grasp when the sun
