My friend
I am sorry to date a letter
at this time from Trenton
as we are born to trouble
sparks fly upwards we can do
little what a day will bring.
Three Weeks this evening my Horse
fell with her & dislocated my shoulder.
I suppose I was thrown Twelve feet
the night was dark & I was about
three miles from Home before I
got a Surgeon it was out 2 Hours
such was the force of the Blow
it forced the arm part of the joint be
low as my arm pit I have suffered
much with it but am now able to
use it a little altho it remains weak
