Perhaps it will not be a miss to compose
notes a little relative to the proposed cotton established
it is likely it will suit me to move there next spring
if it should go on. if so, I think we had better not get
too much machinery at the first start as it is a new
place and hands generally unacquainted with the business
if the calculation is for something considerable
it is my notion that a few hundred spindles may
be started to more advantage in the first
onset than a house full of machinery.
It is my wish that as soon as is advisable to fix
and determine on the thing and let bills be drawn
for the timber bonds etc for the building that they
might be prepareing the approaching winter
are engaged for another season, so that when another season
comes it may be pushed.
I should like that thee should write to some of
thy acquaintances in New England for their
plan of a house and Plan of machinery and
& contracts made with work man before they
