night
last^ without a line or message from thee to me, was a disappointment. I've
therfore thought best to imploy a person to bring this to thee & earnestly Sollicit
a few lines from thee informing what prospect thee has of obtaining that land
allow
for me which we talked off, and ^thinking more on the subject I am willing
thou should add the twenty Dollars if on trial thou finds Cannot make out without; If
thee should be above to git the land I think it would greatly promote my Coming out
you
to Settle with^; and I may have some small influence with a few others to bear me
Company; From conversation I have had with the Butchers and others at Canton since
I see thee am convinced my business of Soap boiling etc might answer at Kendale
I have had a pleasant Visit to Rouse Taylor; have recommended him not
so do any more about Settleing his Farm hill he has seen thee; he being a good
weaver I thought thee might find thy account in giving him suitable incoura
agement to Settled with you and Sell his own place which perhaps he could do
without Loss as thee is a person likely to want it, I am now waiting thy
answer to Clear me of suspence. If needfull I am reddy to pay the money to
thy order in this Town for the first payment Viz 80$ on the quarter Section
and the advance whatever it may be either - 80 or 100$ on the wood
land with the other payments to be at 2, 3 and four years after Date in
equal payment. Subject to a Discount of 8 percent per year for money paid before due
my love affectionately to thyself & worth Companion am thy Friend.
