                          New York 9th of 10th mo 1808
    Dear Friend
               I returned to this place yesterday afternoon from
  our northern tour, and as the Committee have proposed to resume
  the Visit at our succeeding quarters, I take this opportunity to give
  thee information, of the manner they propose to proceed, in order that
  thy Wife may have timely notie thereof, as her company, with thy
  attendance, will be very desireable. The committee proposes
  the following arangement, Viz: Jericho Monthly Meeting on 2d day
  the 24th Instant, Westbury Ditto 3d day 25th, Westbury quarter, on 5th day
  the 27th, Purchase Monthly Meetg, on 2d day the 31st; Ditto quarterly, Mg
  on 4th Day 2d of 11th Mo. Shapaqua Monthly M, on 6th day 4th: of the 
  month, Amawalk on 7th day, the 5th, Oblong M.M. on 6th day 11th:
  and Hartford Monthly Meeting, on 2d day the 14th of 11th MOntht,
  and thy care is desired in having your meeting adjourned to that
  time accordinginly.  I met my Wife in this place, who with
  the rest of our firends are in usual health except Ephraim=
  =Arnold, who is very ill, and has been so for several weeks, his 
  case at present by my wife's information is very doubtful, as it
  respects his recovery, please to inform his parents thereof.
         Some of our company fell in at Troy, on our return, with
  J. Shoemaker, J. Brown, Hannah Fisher, and Rebehah Archer
  from Pennsylvania, and Reuben Haight, Ann Shipley, and Ann=
  =Merritt from our yearly M, on their way to upper Canada
