Dear friends
Thomas & Charity Rotch I am
now lying in bed with my head leaning on my left hand
and my pen in the other with a view of giving you
some account of my getting along after leaving Kendal
until I arived at my own home, we arived at Mahlon
Wilemans 6th day evening and I was tryly glad being
much fatigued my lameness increasing and feeling
my mind considerable tryed with the thought of
appointing meetings so much that it made poor
me feel very little but after meeting 7th day I
think I may say that peace seemed to attend
my mind for which I felt thankful went that
afternoon to our long afflicted friend Stephen Loge
staid with him that night to a good degree
of satisfaction first day morning set out for
Lexington and was at that meeting second
day at Goshon 3 day at Springfield Samuel
Loge waighted on me to the last mentioned
place who was very kind and attentive and
notwithstanding his outward appearance I
had to believe that it was right that he was
with me I think it would be well for friends
to take notice of such from Springfield to
Salem and staid their preparative Mg Caslet
Jones was with me after Meeting we parted
