Thomas Grisell letter to Thomas Rotch, 6th 25th 1816

     Dear Friend             6th mo 25th 1816
                  Thomas Rotch   my
  wife was appointed to the further
  service of Polly Deans case which is to
  furnish her with a coppy of the testi=
  money, and inform her of her right of
  appeal I enclose a coppy with a request
  for thee to hand it to a woman friend
  or two to give to her with the informat
  ion so that word may be had before
  our next mo meeting - I feel willing
  to hope that  Ishall not troubl thee
  with much more such business, all the
  satisfaction it afords is that it opens
  the way for further information we
  are reasonably well at this time  James
  Galbrecth is very poorly not expected
  to continue long. [illegible] Courtney very 
  weakly I may inform thee that there
  was a man here all night last week from
  the state of New york that requested me
  to inform thee that Hannah Field(a
  Publick friend) was started on a religious
  visit to England he said he was not
  aquainted with thee but was with her
  and had frequently heard her mention
  thy name  he was not a friend.
