Dear Friend
Thy letter of the first
of this month hs been duly recd
and note the contents, I am
realy sorry to be under the Necessity
of given thee so much troulbe &
[illegilbe] thee has been so kind as to offer
me a little assistance, in this business
place to put the acct into a suitable
attorney hands why dont thee
mention some thing about
the improvement of Kendal
thee knows that it would be always
agreeable to thee to hear of the prosperity
of that part of the Country and
we have heard that thee sold Jacobs
place to one Breed from the Eastward
this made me believe, and gave me
reasons to hope the Country was
improving.
