Dear Friend Hartford 3d of 4th mo 1812
Thomas & C Rotch
I think I may say that my Long silence
is not forgetfullness for I do not think their
has one day passed over without the rememberance
of you since your left here adn have often looked
for letters in the offis but found none yet have
been favoured to read most of those sent to
Doct Todd & wife and some times could find
a little inquaire about my helth by which
[illegible] found I was not wholey forgoten and
this did me some good in my weak state of
Body & mind which I have Labourd under ever
since we parted not being able to do a days work
in two days since you left here nor have I derst
under take the jurney that Dict Ttodd advised
to of going down tot see you and spend 2 or 3 mo=
in that worm climet. Yet am so as to be about
and overse my little affairs far beyond my
expectations when we parted I did take thy
advice Dear Charity in attending the Doct Strictly
and after going into the warm baith 2 or 3
times in a day for Eleven^days got so as to go
and see him who kindly received me and has
paid the strictest attention to my case and=
through the goodness of God has been made veryserves=
able to me for which I am often bound to
give thanks to him who is over all his work.
My dear wife has been much complaining
all the winter past and has been under this
kind Doct care but do not no wheather she
has got much a life on the whole she is able
to be about & git out to our Meetings mostly.
the rest of our family are well and all
wish to be remembered to you, and Jonathan &
family Richard & wife tho unknown by site &
