	  Dear Friends
	  Thomas & C Rotch          Hartford 10th mo 12th 1811
			I was glad of thy kind Letter of the 3rd
	  inst. and do rejoice in you geting on your journey
	  so pleasently, and hope my week state of heth may not
	  give you much anxiety as I feel worth but little
	  yet feeling something of the uniting ties of Brotherly
	  Love toward you My dear Friend & can but think you
	  feel it also for our friendship has been of that nature
	  which I believe neither time nor Distance will extinquish
	  while we are favoured to Dwell in that Love which at first
	  united us as breathren and helps one to another tho little has
	  been done on my part, but always,[unclear]that you
	  were disposed to make the best of things,have never
	  suffered any thing to get in to my mind which had any
	  tendency to abate that Love which at our first acquain
	  -tance was begotten by that Power which alone is able
	  to percieve all that have true Desires to be faithfull
	  unto the end which I have hoped may be our exper-
	  -ience.
		I have attended strictly to Doct Todd,
	  Directions since he was here with you the next first
	  day being rainey,could not got to see him but
	  intend going to day if possible- the warm baith
	  has releved me of the sickness at my stomake and
	  much of the paine but am very week much more
	  so than when you left here,  but yet think I may
	  say I am incoraged.  I intend saying little more when I
	  return from farmington, as I expect you will wish
	  to know what Todd say, and how his family doth.
	  --   As I may not have much time when I return from
	  the Doctor, I will inform how we do.  my dear Wife and
	  Children are all in good heth and wife to unite with me
	  in much Love to you, and your little band--
	  11th day morning after returning from farming-
	  -ton and feeling somewhat fetiges just ad
	  the doct,judgement which is that he feels in-
	  -coraged and say his prescription have
	  had a very good affect and Directs the coninu
	  -ence of them one week longer- as Alexander
	  is now a waiting I must conclude for the
	  present and well wisher.
