Subject	Business and commerce; Quakers
Description	Thomas French whose family came to America in the seventeenth century from England during the period of persecution, provides testimony to James Vaughn who is looking for work. French verifies that he is industrious man but "a light hand at most kinds of business", implying that he may be better at hand labor than actually setting the terms of business and his labor. also see B-66-2 for a subsequent letter about James Vaughn. 6" x 4.8" (15.2 by 12.6 cm)
