Description	Thomas P. Cope forwards two letters carried by persons arriving from Germany to Thomas Rotch for distribution to Michael Baumler and Jno Breymeier. Cope notes in his last paragraph that Michael Baumler refused to sign over his land in the event of his death to members of his community. 8.4" x 9.75" (21.4 by 24.8 cm)

Full Text	B-36-3 Philada 9 mo 5. 1818 Thos Rotch Respected friend, The enclosed Letters - one for M. Baumler & one for Jno Breymeier were handed to me by a person lately arrived from Germany - & I have thought it best to send them to thee for delivery. Thy letters of the 6th mo 29th & 8th mo 4th were reced - & from the later I perceive that the Separatists are not disposed to accept of the generous offer made them by the Committee.
