Dear Cousin
Thomas Rotch our Friend James M. Hozeer
of Ohio
being bound into some part of the State^ offer'd
to take a line; altho I am a very poor Letter
writer, I thought I would in [illegilbe] a letter
Correspondence with thee; haveing for some time
had it on my mind to remove to some part
of the State of Ohio, or indianna territory; I
provided it Should appear clear after giving it
a Due Consideration; I have had such informa
-tion from Mattw Coffin of Blue River in the
Indianna territory that I think [illegible]be a very
fine Country, and was almost induced to go to that
place, but I think blue River is in to low Lattitude
that it will not answer so well for northern
peoples, as ferther to the Northward; I conclude
that thou has been into many part of that Country
and has formed some idea or got Correct informati-
on as respects this particular --
Charles Coffin (Uriah Macys Son inlaw) intends to
remove into those parts in about a month or Six
weeks, he think to go to Cincinnati, and I have
had some thought of going in Company with
them to see the Country, but I beleave I shall not
make it out at this time.
we have had various accounts respecting that Western
Country some say it is not healthy, that they have
the fever and ague, Rheumatism and so on.
