WD Authorizes Cash Awards For Suggestions
War Department Civilian
Personnel regulations just
received authorize the awarding of
from $5 to $250
for employee suggestions which result in improvement or economy in operations within the War Department.
Under these regulations
any Civil Service employee
of EPG will be eligible to receive an
award for a suggestion adopted on or
after
June 1943.
In order ito facilitate
the operation of a suggestion system, boxes are being installed in the vicinity of each time clock
and suitable forms
will be on
hand at each location.
By 1 August it is
expected that all local
arrangements will be complete and
that the actual processing
of suggestions will begin.
The local plan was submitted to the Personnel Advisory Board for approval
yesterday and final details
will be announced in the
next ECHO.
In general, when the Commanding Officer authorizes
adoption of a suggestion,
the employee will be notified of the amount of the
initial award and payment
will follow. Adoption will
consist of actually placing
the suggestion in effect.
Suggestions worthy of
further recognition will be
forwarded to the War Department Board on Civilian Award
