Other signs of the paper's anti- Somitism were seen in Iho fol¬ lowing items: The caption of a picture of Walter Winchell de¬ scribed the nationally .syndicat- e<l columnist and radio report¬ er as "the voice of America's refugee minority." She majored in economics, political science and history and was a member of Alpha Chi Alpha, the social science national honor so¬ ciety. Since her graduation she has studied in the Teadiers Institute of the Jewish Theolo¬ gical Seminary, and in the New School for Social Research, hoth in New York. Her education in Jewi.sh KludicH began when she was a child. While still in the elementary grades she attended the. Hebrew Institute of Boro Park. Brooklyn, a boys' school. where she was the only girl stu¬ dent. In college she was the president of Avukah, the inter¬ collegiate Zionist organization, and was in the leadership group at the Zionist youth camp in Amherst, N. H.
