The spirit of brotherly love and camaraderie prevailed during the entire evening. The members not only enjoyed the singing of the vocalists, but also in¬ dulged iu group singing themselves, led by Allan Tarshish, ¦ presitlent of the Brotherhood. As cltairman of the eve¬ ning, Mr. Tarshish extended a most cor¬ dial welcome to the assembled -guests .and -told them of ,the other interesting meetings that he has scheduled for the coming- months. On February llth under tbe aus-pices of the Brotherhood, the Ohio State Uni versity Hillel Foundation Team , will discuss;—"Resolved That the Present Immigration Policy Is Beneficial To American Jewry," This affair, which will also be held at the Progress Club, will be honored by the presence of Can¬ tor Anshel Frecdrtian and the Agudath Achim Congregation Choir.
On March Uth, a Father and Son meeting will he held at which time a symposium on how to choose a calling will be prescntefl with John M, Vorys, Herbert Osborn, Harry C, Bard, and Dr. James F. The officers of the Agudath Achim Brotlierhood, after being officially in¬ stalled at a very enjoyable banquet re¬ cently, have lost, little time in plamiing to make this season the best yet both in affording its memhers an enjoyable time and in accomplishing its purpose:—As, sistiiig in the building of a. new syna¬ gogue, one modern enough to contain up-to-<late inVproveincnts , ami located, further cast where local Jews have mi¬ grated in large numhers.
The officers wish to; announce'that on Fchruary Z'\i\\ they will have a big dance at one of the downtown hotels. There \fi)\\. be a« admission charge of one dol¬ lar per,;coUple. Before the meeting adjourneil Rabhi Tarshish made a few remarks in -which he congr,atulate<l the ofiicers on their conscientious efforts and expressed the fpiid hope that the Brotherhood would continue to function energetically and effectively.

The Players are headed this year by Miss Dorothy Ozer. Miss Ozer is a senior; she is president ot Alpha Ep¬ silon Phi sorority, and a raeiidier of the Y. W. C. A. council. She has played numerous leading parts in past Hil|el productions; she is also a capable dra¬ matic coach and director. Miss Ozer appears in the cast of "Right You Are." The production is directed hy Mr. Ray Lee Jacksor), popular drartiatic coach of several University theatre organizations. Last year, under Mr. Jackson's direction, thc Hillel Players' production of the,. "Dybbuk" , was eminently successfuL The business management of the Play-j ers.. is in the hands of Mr. Max M. AKRON—The District National Ha¬ dassah, representing Ohio, West Vir¬ ginia aud Kentucky, yesterday re-elected Mrs. M. J. Lewis, Cleveland, us re¬ gional president. Mrs. H. Frankel, Cin¬ cinnati; Mrs. W. -A, Hersch, Columbus, and Mrs. H. Jackman were chosen vice presidents. Other officers include Mrs. I. Bcrman, Cleveland, correspouding sec¬ retary; Miss Annette Benjamin, Cleve¬ land, assistant secretary; Mrs. B. Mar¬ cus, Dayton, recording secretary; Miss Leona Ozersky, Youngstown, treasurer and -Mrs. A. S. Klivene, Youngstown, auditor.
The Ohio State University Chapter of Avukah will meet at the Hillel Founda¬ tion Sunday afternoon, Fcbrnary 2nd. The speaker will be Mr. Max M. Kantor. He will present an original paper on the following topic:—"The Motives and Problems in Bialik's Poetry." Mr. Kan¬ tor is a former pupil of the great poet. Besides being a Hebrew scholar, he pos¬ sesses high attainments in the general sciences, having graduated from New York University with hi;{h honors in Mathematics and Physics. Every Chron¬ icle reader is cordially invited to attend this raeeling of the Avukah and to par¬ ticipate in the discussion following -Mr. Kantor's address.
