McDonald. Ameri¬ ca's fSrct Ambossadoi' to Israel, and a noted public figure, will ad¬ dress Congregation Tifereth Israel on behalf of the High Holiday mobilization for State of Israel bonds during the Rosh Hashonah services this Sunday. (Campaign activities for this year in Columbus got underway last Thursday night, with a parlor rneettng addressed by Rabbi James O. Heller at the home of Albert Blank, co-c'.mirman with Ira Mon¬ roe, of Tifereth Israel's Bond Com¬ mittee). Next Thursday evening, Yehuda Hellmnn. a well-lnfOrmed Israeli journalist and foreign correspond¬ ent attached to the United Nations, will speak at Ben Yenkin's home, 2455 Bryden Rd., in the only other parlor meeting to be held during the High Holiday period. Mr. Hellmnn knows thc Arab world intimately, having spent several years In various Moslem lands as correspondent for the "Jerusalem Post" and other news¬ papers in Israel. He speaks a half dozen languages and nets as an advisor to American Committees of the Jewish Agency. He will dis¬ cuss Israel's economic and security situation in relationship to the flare up with Egypt in the Gaza area. Mr. Hellman has worked as for¬ eign correspondent in Switzerland, France and England before com¬ ing to the. United States, wh^re he wriites now from United Nations headquarters in New York. Born in Latvia, raised and educated in Is¬ rael, he studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and re¬ ceived degrees in polilicnl science nnd economics at lhe American University of Beirut.
