IL J. F. BOARD
ALLOCATES
BUDGET
The Board of Directors of the United Jewish Fund, through Ha president, Richard J. Abel, announced today tiie distribution of the funds tor the year 1951-52 to more than 36 agencies. The agencies In¬ clude those in Columbus, in the region and national and overseas agencies. Some are" responsible for tho financing of other organizations; one alone subsidizes 58 institutions so that the total number of agen,- cioa exceeds the figure mentioned. Mr. Abel commended Ralph Laz¬ arus, chairman, and the other members of the Budget Committee as well as all membera of the Board for the painstaking consideration given to all requests received by the Fund. He stated;
"The Budget Committee and the Board studied the programs and financial data of all agencies and gave consideration to the character of their work and their value in advancing the welfare of the Jewish people and the general community, locally, nationally and ovcraeaa. The Board ahd its Committee studied in some detail the reports of the Council of Jewiah Federations and Welfare Funds which supplied the factual digeata of the programs of the non-local agencies. The allo¬ cations represent the best possible compromise between the amounts by tho agencies and the nvailubie funds. I feel that the result is one that will meet with the approval of the contributors to the Fund."
The United Jewish Fund budget waa allocated as follows:

HADASSAH DONOR DINNER SUNDAY
Senior HadEissah's donor dinner, an annual tradition on the Jewish community's social calendar, bids fair to be another memorable oc¬ casion for the capacity audience expected for , tomorrow's affair at the Jewiah.Center.
Starting at 6 p. m. with a deli¬ cious turkey dinner and ending with a couple hours of dancing to the music of Joe Welaberg'a or¬ chestra, the 1951 donor project will leave nothing to be desired in the way of a joyous, complete evening.
The highlight among many high¬ lights will be the appearance of the famed Yiddish entertainers Molly Picon and Jacob Kallsh. Re¬ gardless how long they perform to¬ morrow, their appearance will be too brief.
While the hundreds of donors are enjoying tomorrow's full evening
of top-nottih festivitiea, too much can't be said for those Hadassah members who've worked so con¬ scientiously behind the scenes pre¬ paring for The Big Night.
Mi-H. Jerome Fisher Is general chairman of the donor dinner and she han recel ved splendid eo-operatlon from her co-chair¬ men, Mnt. Myer Mellman and MrH. (lemerd C-ohen, and the treasurer, Mrs. I... L. Pravor.
As for the diligent telephone squad, just multiply by 1000 the cails they made in behalf of the donor dinner and you can Imagine the hours and effort expended to make sure everyone has been per¬ sonally notified of the affair and reminded of the work of the Ha¬ dassah Medical Organization.
The telephone squad haa consist¬ ed of Mrs, Paul Callif, chairman.
and her workers: Mesdames How¬ ard Schoenbaum, Paiii Sloan. Al¬ fred Rosenfield, Max Friedman, Boris Ozeroff, BUI Broner. Ben Balshone. Harold Edelstein. Al GIngold. Gerald Firestone. Sanley Wasserstrom, Edward Nichols.
And the Chapter president. Mrs. Samuel Luper. reminds one and all that while the donors are hav¬ ing a wonderful evening tomorrow, they also are helping make a healthier, stronger nation In Israel. Your laughter will make it possible
for thousands to see
and wilt
have made It possible for many new babies to come Into life with a look towards a healthier future.
If you have overlooked sending in jour donation. It is not too late. Send it to Mra. Praver, 285 S. Hard¬ ing Rd.
