Expect Huge Turn-out Sunday For Strike-it-Rich Garnival
The main ballroom of the Deshler-Wallick hotel will be filled to capacity tomorrow evening. The occasion is the gala carnival- dance—with a "strlke-it-rlch" theme—the 1950 fund-raising pro¬ ject of the Agudath Achlm Self-Development School.
Prizes, entertainment and dancing will add up to a mem¬ orable evening of gaelty for those who attend. Local Group Enrolls 300 Brandeis Members
Contest for Namipg &f "Little Theatre"
Members of the local .Jewish CommunUy interested In activat¬ ing a "Little Theatre" group, took another .step toward their goal this week. Mr, Frank .lakes, director of productions, explained that the group will have three functions: to provide opportunities for tho.se interested in theatricals, to stage productions in an experimental and interesting manner, and to preseni some ot the many good plays that are off the beaten path.
So far, the "Little Theatre" is i nameless. A contest la under way to find nn appropriate title. To the person who 9ui> mils a name acceptable to a com¬ mittee of Judges, among whom are Ben Neu.stadt and Eddie Fisher of the Chronicle, there win be given a paid-up member¬ .ship for the current season. All enlrles must he postmarked be¬ fore midnight March H, and may be mailed or brought to Leo Blum, H."; N. High St., co-chair¬ man of publicity.
At the next meeting of the group, Tuesday evening March 7 al the. F.xcelsior Club, Mr, .Jakes has asked that all tho.se attending come prepared to give a •two-minute reading of an ex¬ cerpt of their own choice, prose or poetry. Official tryout time for the initial production will be announced al the March 7 meet¬ ing.
All who are Interested In any phase of amateur theatricals are urged to attend the next meet¬ ing.

A gala'Purlm party and mem¬ bership luncheon will be the highlight ot the next Ivreeyoh Society meeting. Frizes and tempting food. Tho morning session, beginn¬ ing at 10:00, will lie 'devoted to a general discussion of Oocupa- lioiiai and Professional Trends by Mr, George Newburger, ex¬ ecutive director of the .lewish Vocational Service of Cincinnati, and a discussion on Communily Organization l)y Mr. Robert Fit- terman, executive director, Jew¬ ish Community Council, Dayton.
The afternoon .session will be divided into two periods. There will be discussions and Individ¬ ual consultations wilh profess¬ ional workers representing 15 Vocational fields.

An Intensive membership ef¬ fort to enroll Columhus women as charter members of the Nat¬ ional Womeri's Committee for Brandels University, has result¬ ed in nearly 300   members
The Columbus chapter of the women's committee was organiz¬ ed In January of this year and all women who Join the group in 1950 Win be charter members of the local chapter.
Brandels (In Waltham, Mass.) is the first Jewish-sponsored, non-sectarian university in America. The Women's Commit¬ tee is devoted to the support of the university library.
