Ohio, i n September 1980. Marjorie J. Myers processed the
c o l l e c t i o n in April 1982.

H i s t o r i c a l sketch: Orlando Albert M i l l e r was born in 1859 in
Belmont County, Ohio. He moved t o Columbus i n 1875 and i n 1880
founded the Central Ohio Paper House i n partnership with Thomas
D. Hubbard. M i l l e r bought out Hubbard i n 1887, incorporating
the Central Ohio Paper Company ( Copco) with himself as president
and t r e a s u r e r . Copco produced and d i s t r i b u t e d wholesale paper,
s t a t i o n e r y , and envelopes throughout the midwest. In 1928, 0. A.
Miller turned over t h e presidency of Copco t o h i s son Albert
Morris Miller ( 1881- 1963) and himself became chairman of the board
and t r e a s u r e r of t h e company. H e remained i n these p o s i t i o n s
u n t i l h i s death in 1 9 4 9 . Albert M. Miller became Copco chairman
of the board in 1952, with h i s brother Roland Witmer Miller serving
as president and a s s i s t a n t t r e a s u r e r , and h i s son Albert Fullerton
Miller ( 1910- 1973) remaining as s e c r e t a r y . After the death of
Albert M. Miller i n April 1963, the company was bought by Alco
Standard.

Scope and content: The Albert M. M i l l e r Papers date from 1933 t o
1 9 6 1 and occupy one- half cubic foot. The papers c o n s i s t of
correspondence, f i n a n c i a l records, minutes, programs, and s a l e s
brochures of the Central Ohio Paper Company and the Miller family.
