SCOPE AND CONTENTS OF THE COLLECTION
This collection consists of four cubic feet of political ephemera from ca. 1850 to the 1990s.
It includes fliers, pamphlets, wall and bumper stickers, post cards, posters, signs, editorials,
national convention tickets and programs. There are also items from gubernatorial and
presidential inaugurations. Ephemera was created by campaigns for state and local offices in
Ohio; U. S. Representatives and Senators from Ohio; and campaigns for the U. S. Presidency.
In addition to materials created by campaigns for individual candidates, there are also materials
generated by the Democratic, Republican and other parties for general issues or multiple
candidates from the same party.
ORGANIZATION OF THE COLLECTION
Collection is organized in chronological order by decade. Candidates and parties represented
in the collection are listed alphabetically in the index.
