SCOPE AND CONTENTS OF THE COLLECTION
Collection contains approximately 246 photographs documenting locks, dams and a variety of boats on the Ohio River and tributaries of the Ohio River dating from 1881- 1933. Half of the photographs are prints measuring 21 x 26 centimeters or smaller, while half are mounted photographs measuring up to 28 x 35 centimeters. The smaller photographs are filed alphabetically by subject. The larger photographs are filed numerically according to numbers recorded on the images. There are gaps in the numbering. There are also photographs of high water and flood damage in Cincinnati from an Ohio River flood, March 21- 24, 1933. Ohio towns on the Muskingum River, an Ohio River tributary include Eaglesport, McConnelsville, Zanesville, Marietta, Lowell, and Stockport.
